FAQs

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

Yes, but you should first discuss with your roommates.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card?

Great News! We have a feature that lets you pay online. View your balance, submit electronic
checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. Just log on to our website, click the “Pay Rent” button. This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?

Absolutely! Just let us know in writing and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

Can I use my financial aid?

Yes. But you must show written documentation from the aid office prior to move in. Please contact the office to discuss the details.

Do I have to have a meal plan?

No. You can enjoy cooking in your designer kitchen or eating at a local hotspot.

If I am over 21, do I need a guarantor?

Yes. All leases are required to have a guarantor. If an approved guarantor cannot be obtained, we will accept a security deposit of one (1) month’s rent.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

No we do not offer discounts for upfront payment.

Is parking available?

There is ample covered parking throughout the site.

What types of leases are available?

Individual leases for each resident.

What types of apartments/rooms are available?

We have 4 bedroom apartments each with its own bathroom. You’ll never have to share your
bathroom!

How close to campus are you?

We are 200 yards from campus. You will be able to walk or bike to campus!

What if I need to cancel my lease?

You need to speak with the office staff to discuss this and we will work with you to remedy the
situation.

What size are the beds?

They are full sized.

What utilities are included in my rent?

Your rent includes extended basic cable with HBO, Internet, water, sewer and garbage.

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?

No. The rent is due on the first of every month.

What is “by the bed” leasing?

Each roommate is only responsible for the rent on his/her bed. If one moves out, the remaining roommates are not responsible for the exiting roommate’s rent.

What happens if after I move in I don’t like my roommate?

Should there be differences that simply cannot be worked out, residents are able to transfer, dependent on availability (a transfer fee may apply and the transferee will be required to pay the rental rate for the new bedroom).

When do I get my security deposit back?

Your security deposit is retained until after move-out and may not be applied to your last month’s rent (see your Lease Agreement for details). After you vacate, your deposit may be applied to any outstanding rent, late fees, or for any costs incurred to return the apartment to the original move-in condition, less any wear & tear. A deposit disposition will be mailed to you within the required time frame specified by the state/county where you reside. All correspondence will be mailed to the last known address, so it is important that you inform us of your forwarding address upon move-out.

Individual Leases

All apartments at San Angelo Place are leased by-the-bed, meaning you are only responsible for the lease of your student and not their roommates. You have no liability to pay the rent of any other resident or roommate, which is a huge advantage over most apartments and rental properties in San Angelo. If your student’s roommate transfers or graduates, you have nothing to worry about.

Roommate Matching

We offer roommate matching for those that would like to be placed with a roommate. Each student is asked to complete a personal profile card in order to better assist us in matching them with someone compatible with
their interests, hobbies and academic studies.

Resident Life Program

San Angelo Places Resident Life Program is all about your student’s success— as a student, friend and neighbor. You’ll find our on-site Resident Life staff has thought of everything—all of the resources and activities to keep your student connected to campus and one another.
